The weekend was a 3-day one, with the kids home from school on Friday due to the snow. Luckily we didn't get as much as was predicted.
The watercolors stayed out for most of the weekend. Little Bird pained a clay heart she made in art class and some pictures (a bird, of course). Book pages were painted randomly, cut into hearts, then glued onto
colored paper rectangles for Valentine cards for school. I will save
you from my rant on how I feel about Valentine's Day.
memorable art....
ReplyDeleteHa! I hear you about the rant. I've never been a big fan of the holiday, but it is fun to use it as an excuse to do fun crafting with the little ones and chat up what it means to do small, loving things for others - all the time. I'm loving your kiddos water color art. So vibrant and welcomed this time of year.
ReplyDelete*snicker* feelin' you on the Valentine's day thing...
ReplyDeleteugh.
beee-yooo-teee-full hearts, though. ;)

What beautiful cards....there is a goodness in the hand-made, homemade ones. That's how we roll too.
ReplyDeletelovely cards, friend.
ReplyDeletewe're not much for any holiday around here, excepting Christmas, so I get it.
XO
Such lovely cards. And I do love Little Bird's bird. I understand how you feel about holiday. I was just at the store and was in shock by the number of people shopping on a Wednesday night. Then as soon as I walked through the door, it dawned on me, tomorrow is the holiday. I was completely oblivious, which is a nice thing these days :). Keep on enjoying the card making no matter the occasion. xo
