My Days

Lately, my days have consisted of:

chasing chickens out of the flower beds, raccoons out of the coop (no birds lost, thankfully!)
tending to the veggie garden - watering, weeding, watering, weeding.....
rearranging the house and putting flooring down in part of the addition to move the girls into the bigger bedroom, as we get ready for my sister-in-law moving in next week
being excited with cooking again
trying to find my voice in the land of blogs, as it seems to have gone quiet
visits from a mama bear and her two cubs, finding and easy meal of chicken scratch grains on the ground (sorry for the blurry photo, I was tucked away safely in the house, had to zoom and crop)

  1. I hope you find your voice, I love your blog! We had a bear many years ago that did some damage to our yard. Now we keep our garbage and the grill in the garage and no feeding wild birds... Have a great weekend!!

  2. Lovely to "hear" from you. Living in Missouri there aren't a ton of bears (especially not where we're located) so it really caught me off guard to see one in your yard. So wonderful and wild.

  7. Mama bear brings you good medicine friend. Assuring you of your time of quiet and reflection. There is much do in summer and I'm afraid sometimes blogging isn't high on the priority list (at least for me). So do what you need, I always stop in to check on you. xo

  8. Wait, that was a real bear? Oh my.....

My dogs are the ones in my flower/herb beds and they do so much damage:(( Not sure what to do about that at the moment.

You have a voice, you may not know it....but we do!

  12. Sounds like my life minus bears & raccoons which have been run out by logging...Glad there were no casualties...I think summer is a slower blogging time anyway...winter is better ...Enjoy the outdoors...even when your chasing the girls...:)

  15. I know how you feel about finding your voice in this blog world. I too struggle with that most of the time. I was - er... am a writer... but my writing voice hasn't yet found her way into my blog. I do feel inspiration from your voice, however. keep searching and also keep noticing what is.

    hugs.
